God Will Bring It To Pass

Commit your way to the Lord, trust also in Him, and He shall bring it to pass.  He shall bring forth your righteousness as the light, and your justice as the noonday. Psalm 37; 5, 6, NKJV

Heavenly Father, there is so much to be learned, please teach us; for Christ’s sake.  Amen

Today we will begin to look at the fulfillment of our promise, in the life of Esther the queen.  What percentage of possibility, could there be, normally, for a humble  Jewish girl (Esther 2: 5, 6), to become the queen of the kingdom of Persia (17)?  Perhaps one percent?  I am not too politically savvy, so that was not an educated guess.  But even I know that Esther, becoming the queen of Persia, was not man’s doings.  I have often wondered why Mordecai, her cousin/father (7), even thought, of entering her as a contestant in the competition (8).  When I think of why the queen was being replaced (Esther 1: 16-21), I wonder what was Mordecai’s criterion for allowing Esther to enter the contest?  Every question I ask, brings me closer to the conclusion that God, indeed, directed this entire state of affairs.

Esther entered the competition, and God gave her favor with everyone she had to deal with (2: 8, 9, 15-18); from the king to the custodian of the women.  When we are beneath the umbrella of God’s grace, others will take notice.  It is very heartwarming to read what Scripture has to say about Esther’s behavior in relation to Mordecai, “When Esther, like the other girls had been transferred to the second harem, she had not revealed her kindred or race, in obedience to the orders of Mordecai, whose instructions she continued to follow as when she had been under his care (19, 20, TJB, Reader’s Edition).  Emphasis provided.  That is not the norm.  I am not sure how old Esther was when she became queen.  Many youth only want to reach the “ripe” age of eighteen, and they are through taking orders.  Some do not even wait until they are that age if they acquire a certain status.  But Esther continued to obey

When we “commit [our] ways to the Lord, He will situate us in the right place, at the right time.  We will discover in the days to come, that, God is not limited in bringing to pass, His “plans of good;” because He sees the end from the beginning!  Mordecai, Esther’s adopted father, happened to be at the gate when two of the king’s eunuchs were plotting to assassinate king Ahasuerus.  He notified Esther, and advised her to alert the king, which she did.  After investigating the matter, it was found to be true, and the men were sent to the gallows.  The king ordered that a record be kept of the incident (21-23).

They had committed their way to the Lord and He was bringing to pass His will in their lives, which would result in saving the lives of many others.  We will continue…
