God Will Take Care Of You!

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

Dear Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your most holy name. May we trust You even when we cannot see or understand Your dealings in our lives. May we be willing to trust Your love to see us through any and every situation, no matter how difficult they seem. In Jesus’ name we pray. Amen.

Sometimes as I sit and look at my life in retrospect I often ask myself the question, “Why is it so hard for you  to trust God after You have seen Him deliver you from this situation, or under these circumstances? And even then, an hour or two does not go by until I find myself worrying again about something that may never come to pass.

What is necessary for us to learn just to take God at His word? A friend or relative comes through for us in a moment of great need and we swear on his or her name. We are selected for a promotion in the office and we tell the world that we have the best boss in the business.

On the other hand, God wakes up us each morning in our sound minds, He is the One who gives us grace with our relatives, friends, and bosses. Nevertheless, in spite of all that God does for us, if we pray for something and the prayer was not answered the way we asked, we are ready to give up on God. We become afraid to trust Him with our future.

Is it because we are unaware that it is God, who uses friends and relatives and bosses to bless us? Human beings are not naturally kind. King Ahasuerus was kind to Mordecai because God reminded him of what Mordecai had done for him (Esther 6:1-3).

David was kind to Mephibosheth because of his friendship with his father Jonathan:  “So David said to him, ‘Do not fear, for I will surely show you kindness for Jonathan your father’s sake, and will restore to you all the land of Saul your grandfather; and you shall eat bread at my table continually’ ” (2 Samuel 9:7).

But when God is kind to us He does not need a reason, He is kind because he is God, and God is kind. He not merely shows kindness He is kindness. Therefore you can trust Him when He says that He will supply all your needs according to His riches through Christ Jesus.

If he did not spare his One and Only Son in order to show you and me His supernatural kindness of eternal life what good thing will He deny us? If He says He will supply all your needs, trust Him. God will take care of you and me.
