All Of God’s Promises Can Be Trusted! Part 7b

“Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to His people Israel, according to all that He promised. There has not failed one word of all His good promise, which He promised through His servant Moses” (1 Kings 8:56).

My Father and my God, as I enter Your Throne Room today, I stand in amazement at Your relentless love for fallen human beings. Even though I don’t understand how a Holy God can love us as sinful as we are, as much as You do, I say “Thank You” my ABBA! I love You with all my heart! I praise You and glorify Your most Holy name, in the name of Your Son, and our Savior, Jesus the Christ. Amen and Amen!

There is a main feature of the Great Controversy, that we should never lose sight of, if we are to be overcomers:  Satan never gives up the fight to destroy us, and God never gives up the fight to save us! And because “love is as strong as death” (Song of Solomon 8:6),  and God is love (1 John 4:8), in His effort to save us, He will follow us to very gates of the grave, to offer us His salvation! This is what David said:

“I can never escape from [Y]our Spirit! I can never get away from [Y]our presence! If I go up to heaven, [Y]ou are there; if I go down to the grave, [Y]ou are there” (Psalm 139:7, 8, NLT, emphasis supplied). Remember the thief on the cross? Jesus followed him to the very brink of the grave and saved him (Luke 23:42, 43)!

Therefore, Satan made his biggest move in order to destroy Samson permanently. And along came Delilah, the one woman that Solomon loved, according to Scripture (Judges 16:4). Satan was about to inflict his death blow. She found out what was the source of Samson’s strength, and told it to her country men.

“Then the Philistines took him and put out his eyes, and brought him down to Gaza. They bound him with bronze fetters, and he became a grinder in the prison” (21).

However, the hair of his head began to grow again after it had been shaven. . . . [God is about to make His final call to Samson, to remind him that he is still God’s Nazirite! And Samson responded!]. “Then Samson called to the Lord, saying, “O Lord God, remember me, I pray! Strengthen me, I pray, just this once, O God, that I may with one blow take vengeance on the Philistines for my two eyes!” And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars which supported the temple, and he braced himself against them, one on his right and the other on his left. Then Samson said, “Let me die with the Philistines!” And he pushed with all his might, and the temple fell on the lords and all the people who were in it. So the dead that he killed at his death were more than he had killed in his life (22, 23a, 28-30).

“Do not rejoice over me, my enemy; When I fall, I will arise; When I sit in darkness, The Lord will be a light to me” (Micah 7:8)!

“And his brothers and all his father’s household came down and took him, and brought him up and buried him between Zorah and Eshtaol in the tomb of his father Manoah. He had judged Israel twenty years” ((Judges 16:31).

And God Himself, who had announced his birth and mission in life, from the womb, also dictated his epitaph:

“And what more shall I say? For the time would fail me to tell of Gideon and Barak and Samson and Jephthah, also of David and Samuel . . . .who through faith subdued kingdoms, worked righteousness, obtained promises, out of weakness were made strong, became valiant in battle (Hebrews 11:32-34, emphasis supplied).

And God inducted him into the Hall of Faith (Hebrews 11:32)!
