Dear God and Loving Heavenly Father, hallowed be Your Holy Name. Help us to believe, that when things around us are looking their darkest, the sun is about to shine the brightest! And help us to keep our eyes on Your Son, the Sun of Righteousness who will arise with healing in His wings to bless us. In His glorious name I offer this prayer, in faith! Amen.
In these unusual days in which we are living, I believe that almost everyone has had a day or days, that have been in some way, unsettling; and that is putting it lightly! There is a need for us to see, that beyond the clouds that darken our horizon, there is a better day ahead! I believe these verses can help us to see this.
I have used our Bible verses for today, in several devotionals in the past. Today, I would like us to look at it as it appears on a T-shirt I designed: “Don’t give up, look up!” I usually wear this T-shirt when I go on my morning walk, or to the Post office. People tend to read it. Some comment. I am constantly praying that the effect of the message on others, will be for their eternal good! It has been for me!
This T-shirt was designed two or three years before COVID-19. But I believe its message was intended “for such a time as this!” What do I want the world to hear? I would like people from every corner of our world to hear that Jesus is the answer to all their anxieties and foreboding. Listen to what it has said to my heart:
- Before a problem can affect you, it has to receive permission from the Lord!
- Before the heat of any situation can touch your life it has to be tested by the Savior!
- Every weapon that is aimed at you has already been discharged by the Master!
- Every sickness intended to destroy you, has already been healed by the Lifegiver!
- Every disappointment you receive in life, has already been replaced with a greater blessing!
- Every dream that the Adversary stole from you has been restored tenfold!
- Every sad moment you have endured – will be forgotten in an eternity of peace!
Therefore, do not give up, look up! Your Help is on high!
