“The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, The leopard shall lie down with the young goat, The calf and the young lion and the fatling together; And a little child shall lead them. The cow and the bear shall graze; Their young ones shall lie down together; And the lion shall eat straw like the ox. The nursing child shall play by the cobra’s hole, And the weaned child shall put his hand in the viper’s den. They shall not hurt nor destroy in all My holy mountain, For the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord As the waters cover the sea” (Isaiah 11{6-9).
Our Heavenly Father, we are truly grateful for promises like these. This has always been Your desire for Your creation. When we reach “the land that is fairer than day,” Your will, will at last become reality! Thank You for loving us Father; in the name of Your Son, and our Savior, the Lord of our lives, Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.
In our last conversation, we spoke of God’s love for His precious little ones! Oh, how He loves the babes and infants, youth and adults, the entire world! His mention of the little ones, as He painted the picture of how it could have been here on earth, had His people been obedient, shows us, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that our Savior is counting on us, to bring with us, the little ones He lent us, to “the land of light, where shadows are no more,” when He comes to take us home!
I just thrill to the thought that one day, our children, and grandchildren, will be forever safe, from all manner of evil and danger, in heaven, and in the earth made new! No matter what sufferings they endured in this imperfect world, “there will be no disappontment in heaven!” Praise God!
Things will return to what God intended them to be. All of nature will be synchronized like a well tuned orchestra. God will dwell among His people. Human beings will return to their place of “having dominion” over the beasts of the field, the fowls of the air, every creeping thing and water creatures. The animals will know their relationship to human beings.
There will be no division, destruction, or death! “For the former things have passed away. Behold all things [would] have become new!”
Jesus invited the little ones to come to Him. He wanted to give them a taste of what it would be like to be in heaven. They would be loved and cherished. They would no longer be third class citizens! He had made them the Poster-Children of His kingdom!
Oh, that with our love, and kindness, we would tell them stories of heaven, and help them to visualize and long for their place in the kingdom of God! May we make their prospect of heaven so inviting, that they will lose their taste for what is seen, and develop a yearning for what is not seen; something far better, “God’s tomorrow, no more sorrow, for [they will] know that “God’s tomorrow, will be better than today!”
Until then, let us be good to the little ones that God has entrusted to us.
“Take heed that you do not despise one of these little ones, for I say to you that in heaven their angels always see the face of My Father who is in heaven” (Matthew 18:10).
