“Of the increase of His government and peace There will be no end, Upon the throne of David and over His kingdom, To order it and establish it with judgment and justice From that time forward, even forever. The zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this” (Isaiah 9:7).
Holy Father, hallowed be Your Name. We come into Your Throne Room, bringing You our deepest gratitude, and all the praise, honor, and glory, for the matchless Gift of the One and Only Jesus! May we keep our focus on the Savior and His coming kingdom. This we pray in the name which is above every name, the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God! Amen.
This morning we are at day 15, of our devotionals based on The Divine Son that was given to the fallen human race; and all we can exclaim is, “Oh what love!”
We began this series, talking about the everlasting kingdom of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and here we are again, confirming the fact that His kingdom will have no end. Why? because it will be established upon judgment and justice, and there will be peace! The Prince of Peace will rule over it and order it!
After everything we have lived through on planet earth, especially these last nineteen months, Messiah’s kingdom will be more than welcome!
There will be no more wars, no more murders, no more pandemics, no more hurricanes, no more floods. There will be no more bombings, or buildings collapsing. Cancers, or other strange diseases, that have claimed the lives of thousands, and broken the hearts of those who loved and lost them will be eradicated forever! There will be no more human dominance that nullify our God-given freedom to choose. Nor human selfishness that put at risk the health and life of others. There will be no more homelessness, nor poor, nor marginalized, nor the “least of these.”
There will be no more looking down on other human beings because of their color, culture, or place of origin. No more intolerance toward those who do not talk like us, act like us, or believe what we believe. No more lying, stealing, deceiving or coveting. No more disrespect. There will be no idol worship, for the only true God will reign over us, and the curse of sin will be gone forever!
God’s zeal, His unconditional love, His mercy and compasion, will be the law of the land! There will be no disappointment in God’s kingdom! The family of heaven and the family on earth will once and forevermore become one, as Jesus and the Father are one, in answer to Jesus’ prayer:
” ‘ ” . . .I do not pray for these alone, but also for those who will believe in Me through their word; that they all may be one, as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You; that they also may be one in Us, that the world may believe that You sent Me. And the glory which You gave Me I have given them, that they may be one just as We are one: I in them, and You in Me; that they may be made perfect in one, and that the world may know that You have sent Me, and have loved them as You have loved Me. “Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me; for You loved Me before the foundation of the world. . .”
Yes, dear ones, Jesus’ kingdom will come! And His will will at last “be done on earth, as it is in heaven”! Amen!
By His grace, let us make plans to be there; He will be expecting us!
