Our verse for today is, I believe, the most loved and memorized verse in the entire Bible. This is the first verse many parents teach their children. Many who do not even know where to find the verse in the Bible have adopted it to memory. I believe that is a very good thing because we human beings see ourselves as a part of the world that God so loved that He gave . . .!
A further look at what was given makes us appreciate the Gift even more! God gave all when He gave His One and Only begotten Son!
The Son gave all when He laid down His life voluntarily and took upon Himself our “sinful flesh” and “became sin for us” (John 10: 17, 18; 1: 14; Romans 8: 3; 2 Corinthians 5: 21)!
The Holy Spirit gives His all while abiding, empowering, and refining, as many as are willing to be led by Him (Acts 1: 8; Galatians 5: 22, 23).
Ant it is all because of love!
