For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. John 3: 17, NKJV.
Our Father in heaven, thank you for freeing us from the yoke of condemnation, and giving us entrance into the kingdom of Your Son and our Savior where we find true freedom! In the name of Jesus Christ we receive and accept this Gift. Amen.
So many people in our world live under the burden of guilt and condemnation. How could we overlook the fact that this is not God’s will for His creatures? Our verse for today is an unmistakable declaration of God’s intentions for us – to save, not condemn!
If this is such a clear and true statement, why do even Christians, who we believe dedicate more time to the study of God’s Word than the average person, are also in the ranks of those who go through life feeling condemned? Could it be that the Adversary, the “accuser of our “[brothers and sisters]” (Revelation 12: 10) is bent on hiding this fact from us?
Well God is also determined for us to know the truth that will “make [us] free” (John 8: 32). Here it is:
“You search the Scriptures, for in them you think you have eternal life; and these are they which testify of Me” (John 5: 39. Emphasis provided).
There you have it. Spending more time in the written Word will reveal the true intentions of the Living Word. That His love has been given to save you, not condemn you. Receive that love today, and walk in true freedom!
