Tell Others What God Has Done. You Will Be Blessed!

“And in that day you will say:  “Praise the Lord, call upon His name; Declare His deeds among the peoples, Make mention that His name is exalted. Sing to the Lord, For He has done excellent things; This is known in all the earth. Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!’ ” Isaiah 12: 4-6.

Father in heaven, You have done so much for Your children. Please help us to declare Your works so that others will take hope! In the blessed name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen.

Yesterday we saw the prophet singing the praises of God even when he knew that God’s people were going to suffer because of their disobedience and rebellion. He made a choice not to misuse his energies lamenting the pending punishment when he could be energized by proclaiming God’s future promises.

Today we will look at the reason he was able to give God praise even in the midst of the storm. He had heard, he had seen, and his own mouth had declared the goodness of the Lord! Now the blessings that others had received from his testimony would return to bless him as he looked forward to the future!

And in that day you will say. . . Notice the future tense of the declaration as well as the certainty of the declaration:  You will say, not may say. He was sure that the fulfillment of God’s promise to bring His people back to their land would not fail. The Lord would not only bring His people back He would dwell among them:  Cry out and shout, O inhabitant of Zion, For great is the Holy One of Israel in your midst!

It is interesting to notice that in Revelation 12:11, God’s people who will overcome the devil, will do so by the “word of their testimony.” They are also looking forward to returning to their homeland, the earth made new! In that day, God will also dwell with His people:  “And I heard a loud voice from heaven saying, “Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and He will dwell with them, and they shall be His people. God Himself will be with them and be their God” (21:3. Emphasis provided.).

This is God’s promise. It cannot fail! God Himself says so, ” ‘ “Write, for these words are true and faithful.” ‘ ”

History does repeat itself. However when His story is retold it will have a happy ending, and we will live happily ever after!

Tell others what God has done and what He will do. You may be the one who receive the greatest blessing from your testimony!
