Heavenly Father, It is very comforting to know that nothing can befall us unless you allow it. Please help us to learn that remaining within Your will is our only safeguard against evil and the evil one. In the name of Jesus the Christ we pray. Amen and Amen.

For the past two days we have been talking about the blessings to be had by walking in the will of God. It is important that we also learn that taking ourselves out of God’s will and knowingly treading on forbidden ground can be very dangerous; even life-threatening!

In our text for today, under divine inspiration, we find Balaam admitting that he is powerless to curse those whom God has blessed! This ought to be good news for somebody today! Are you walking and living in the will of God? Are you and the Lord in a relationship of love and trust? Are you laying all your plans at His feet, for Him to approve, or disapprove?

Is He your Counselor? You can be sure He will be your Defender! Is He your Provider? Rest assured He will be your Protector! Is He your Confidant? Then fear not! He will also be your Comforter! Do you claim Him as your Father? You are blessed! He will not fail you!

The promise for this state of blessedness is that,

” ‘No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgment You shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,” ‘ says the Lord”
(Isaiah 54:17)
.

Claim your heritage; you are blessed!
