But those who wait on the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint. Isaiah 40:31, NKJV.
Dear God, as I enter Your Throne Room today, I enter it with renewed strength. As I begin this race once more, may I not grow weary. Please take me to the Finish Line, in Your strength, and for Your glory. In the name of Jesus, the Son of God I pray, Amen.
This website has been dedicated to sharing God’s promises. These promises will not fail, they cannot fail, because it is impossible for the One who promised, to fail!
Our Scripture for today has four promises for those who wait on the LORD.
Promise #1: Their strength will be renewed! COVID-19 has left many people, literally, without strength. They are both physically and emotionally weak from worrying about, What is next? When will this be over? Why is this happening? Who will survive this scourge? Perhaps the problem lie in the fact that we have forgotten how to wait. “We want what we want, and we want it now!!!” But the promise is for those who are willing to wait on the LORD.
The reason their strength will be renewed is because they trust the One they are waiting on. He holds the answer to all their questions:
- He is the Omega – He knows what tomorrow holds because He is already there.
- His timing is perfect- Nothing will last longer than He allows it to last.
- He is Omniscient – He knows the cause and reason for everything that happens.
- All of our days are before Him. Our arrival and our departure from this world are known to Him. Nothing takes God by surprise.
David knew this. As one who was being pursued by a relentless enemy, he could say from experience, “Yet I am confident I will see the LORD’s goodness while I am here in the land of the living. Wait patiently for the LORD. Be brave and courageous. Yes, wait patiently for the LORD” (Psalm 27:13, 14, NLT). You and I can do the same!
