“Its gates shall not be shut at all by day (there shall be no night there)” (Revelation 21:25). . . . .And the Spirit and the bride say,’ “Come!” ‘ And let him who hears say, ‘ “Come!” ‘ And let him who thirsts come. Whoever desires, let him take the water of life freely” ‘ ” ‘ ” (Revelation 22:17).
Dear Lord, as we contemplate the covenant You made with Your servant Abraham, that through him all the families of the earth would be blessed, our hearts rejoice, that by faith in Your grace, we too, can be a part of that numberless multitude, Thank You so much that it is made possible through the life, death, and resurrection, of our Savior and our Lord, Jesus Christ, in whose name we pray. Amen!
“After these things I looked, and behold, a great multitude which no one could number, of all nations, tribes, peoples, and tongues, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed with white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, saying, ‘ “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb” ‘ (Revelation 7:9, 10, emphasis provided)!
God’s plan for the human race will one day be fully realized! “He is not willing that any should perish,” but that [we all], you and I, Jews and Gentiles, and our loved ones, who have accepted Jesus as Savior, and Lord of our lives, would one day, enter through the gates into the city! That is the reason the gates have been left open, all along! It is an everlasting invitation, that is given in the everlasting gospel!
From Genesis 3:15, to John 3:16, to Revelation 22:17! The invitation is being echoed and re-echoed to every kindred, tongue, and people! Soon the last soul will have his or her opportunity to say yes, or no, to this invitation of love. No one needs to be lost! Only you can choose to be lost. The Savior has already gone ahead to make sure there will be enough places of abode for every person, who has heaven in their view!
Your name and the name of your descendants, have been written with the very finger of God, dipped in the blood of His Son, on the invitation, and sent directly to your heart! Will you open the door and accept it (Revelation 3:20)? No one can sign the delivery slip but you!
Have you noticed how the invitation process works? God announced it in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3:15). Jesus proclaimed it on Mount Calvary (John 19:30). And the Holy Spirit has been commissioned to accompany us in delivering these invitations to whoever will receive them (Acts 1:8)!
Have you noticed how relentless God’s love for humanity is? After the three angels have proclaimed their message of the judgment, the call to worship, and the warning of the consequences of false worship, God continues to call!!!
“After these things I saw another angel coming down from heaven, having great authority, and the earth was illuminated with his glory. And he cried mightily with a loud voice, saying, ‘ “Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and has become a dwelling place of demons, a prison for every foul spirit, and a cage for every unclean and hated bird! For all the nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth have become rich through the abundance of her luxury.’ “And I heard another voice from heaven saying, ‘ “Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive of her plagues” ‘ ” ‘ ” ‘ (Revelation 18:4). He calls us His people!
No wonder the saved is represented as a numberless multitude. Because within that throng are people from every walk of life, every culture, every ethnic group, every lifestyle, every religious persuasion, who accepted Jesus as the One and Only Lord of their life, and left all, to follow the Lamb wherever He led them! Glory to God in the highest!!!
Thank God, the night of sin is no more! The saved will dwell in the light of God’s Presence, forever!
Will you and I join our voices and say “Come?” Will we go, and help hand out the invitations? “The Life We Help to Save, May be Our Own!”
