March, Month of Women’s History! Part 3

She is like the merchant ships, She brings her food from afar. She also rises while it is yet night, And provides food for her household, And a portion for her maidservants” (Proverbs 31:13-14).

Heavenly Father, as we continue looking at the deeds of a woman of virtue, my prayer is that we will desire, to emulate these acts of selflessness, not only in our homes, but to as many people as we can, that Your will may be done on earth, as it is in heaven. In the name of Jesus Christ we pray. Amen!

Today, March 8, is INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’S DAY! I extend a warm congratulation to every woman! I want you to know that in the sight of God, and all heaven, you are of great value! God has a special plan for your life! Ask Him to reveal it to you, and then, by His grace, and in His strength, live within that plan! You will be blessed above anything you could have imagined! May God bless you in abundance!

We continue to look into the life of this amazing woman! She wears so many hats, and every hat seems to have been made just for her. Perhaps what gives the greatest beauty to her life is how selflessly she works, doing everything in her power, to enrich the lives of those around her, without exception.

We will take a look into her kitchen. She seems to have the ability to prepare an international  cuisine! She sends for foods, I imagine some spices, that add that special flavor, to these exotic, yet healthy dishes, from distant lands, if she cannot find them in the local supermarket! She is obviously a person given to detail!

But what impresses me the most is the fact that she, as the lady of the home, could certainly have asked her handmaids to help in the kitchen, seeing she has so many other tasks to perform. Or, at the very least, let them prepare their own meals. Instead, she arises early to make sure that both, the members of her immediate family, as well as those who work for the family, will be well fed, and on time! This is worthy of admiration!

The gifts of the Spirit is manifested in many areas of her life. And the gift of hospitality, which I consider, one of the greatest gifts, is seen in her deeds today. “Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, let us use them: . . . Be kindly affectionate to one another with brotherly love, in honor giving preference to one another; not lagging in diligence, fervent in spirit, serving the Lord; . . . distributing to the needs of the saints, given to hospitality” (Romans 12:6, 10, 11, 13, emphasis supplied).

And as we continue observing this woman of virtue we shall discover even more of these spiritual gifts displayed in her life! Virtue can be manifested in such wonderful ways! Indeed, the worth of a virtuous woman is “far above rubies.”
