March, Month of Women’s History! Part 4

She considers a field and buys it; From her profits she plants a vineyard” (Proverbs 31:16).

Heavenly Father, praise and honor and glory, belong to You! You have made women fearfully and wonderfully, and have endowed us with abilities beyond what we could have imagined! Now, please help us to discover them and use them for Your honor and glory, and the blessing of our loved ones. We thank You, and we praise You, in the Holy Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of God, Amen!

Today we see the woman as an investor! Besides having the attributes of a good housewife – virtuous, above average cook, seamstress, keeping a nice home; she also knows how to make good investments, which produce a profit, so that she can keep investing! Her abilities are worthy of the deepest admiration!

Obviously, she is a successful administrator. She knows the monetary value of things, and learns how to create them herself. This saves the family a decent amount of money, that can be used to take a vacation, save for emergencies, or used for future projects.

Having all these abilities, and using them wisely and selflessly, no doubt, provides her with a sense of satisfaction, knowing that she is improving the life of those she loves. It also serves to give her a healthy feeling of self-worth. She knows that her value is not based on what she does, but, on who she is!

A home like this provides a healthy foundation for more healthy homes, which is the basis of a strong society, and a better world!

Women! This may sound like Utopia. And perhaps for the vast majority it is. It is quite possible, that in many of the homes in which we grew up, this was not the norm. Perhaps none of this was modeled before some of us. And in many cases, it was not the fault of our mothers and grandmothers. Bless their hearts! They did the best they could, just to keep the family alive and together! Many, did it alone; as the main provider and nurturer!

But truth be told, God has endowed us with great abilities that we may not even be aware that we possess. It is not too late to discover them and make a new start! Let us strive to make this our goal! Let us decide that the coming generation will be better than ours, because we are going to become better role models for our daughters and granddaughters. And seek safe help for our sons and grandsons, to enable them to become strong and capable, confident, men!

It is never too late to make better choices! Today is a good day to start!
