That Will Be Glory For Me!

And there shall be no more curse, but the throne of God and of the Lamb shall be in it, and His servants shall serve Him. They shall see His face, and His name shall be on their foreheads. There shall be no night there: They need no lamp nor light of the sun, for the Lord God gives them light. And they shall reign forever and ever. Revelation 22: 3-5, NKJV.

Dear God, we are longing to see You and spend eternity in Your presence. Please keep us faithful until then. This is our prayer in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.

There are some days, more than others, when I can hardly wait for this order of things to come to an end, and enter into God’s rest. This is one of those days. Thanks be to God – it won’t be long! Soon, there will be “no more curse[!]” Hallelujah!

My brothers and sisters, my family and friends – do you know what that will represent? No more 2 years olds dying from cancer. No more Alzheimer’s. No more rejection. No more feeling of worthlessness. No more hunger. No more oil spills. No more marginalizing. No more injustice. No more global warming. No more floods. No more tsunamis. No more missing persons. No more broken homes. No more drug addiction. No more depression. No more anxiety. No more despair. No more fear. No more blindness. No more malnutrition. No more atomic bombs. No more wars. No more earthquakes. No more flash floods. No more car accidents. No more airplane crashes. No more amputations. No more deceit. No more autism. No more Downs Syndrome. No more diabetes. No more prejudice. No more hatred. No more crying. No more dying. No more poverty. No more debts. No more mortgages. No more loss of property. No more homelessness. No more broken relationships. No more suicides. No more hopelessness. No more HIV/AIDS. No more rape. No more disrespect. No more blame. No more guilt. No more regret. No more remorse. No more divorce. No more loneliness. No more longing. No more yearning for fulfillment. No more single parents. No more abandoning. No more backbiting. No more gossip. No more murders. No more hypocrisy. No more jealousy. No more rivalry. No more stealing. No more covetousness. No more fighting. No more adultery. No more idolatry. No more swearing. No more hunting. No more lying. No more anger. No more pain. No more arthritis. No more gout. No more famine. No more pestilence. No more reviling. No more hostages. No more prisoners. No more terminal illnesses. The list is much longer, because the curse has reigned for over six thousand years! But, praise, and honor, and glory, be to God – soon, very, very, soon – there will be no more curse! I can hardly wait for the dawning of that day! How about you?

The heavenly throne will descend to the earth made new, and the reign of righteousness will begin. In the presence of the Godhead, no curse can exist! We will see the face of God and receive His name in our foreheads – that is, we will once again, be made into His likeness and image! We will have a mind like His. Therefore, only righteousness will reign.

With the darkness of sin forever erradicated, the light of righteousness will shine throughout the ceaseless ages of eternity! My brothers and sisters, my family and friends – “that will be glory for me!” By God’s grace, I am looking forward to seeing you there!

  1. Dearest sister in Christ,
It has been too long since I have written to you. I do hope that you and your family are safe within God’s great hands..
I have been told that I am an empath. They meant that I am able to feel other’s pain. That is a hard thing when your business is “pain management”. Which, by the way, is not the same as resolution.
Consequently I have been experiencing increasingly severe pain over the past few years. But sometimes this extends to other kinds of pain and sorrow. I too am anxious for the great and marvelous day that our Wonderful Savior will return and the curse will end. But in the meantime, your devotional continues to keep me focused and give me courage. Thank-you Mabel for your devotion to God’s purposes.
May the peace and the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with your spirit,
    Terri
