Blessed! – Part 8

They shall fear and tremble for all the goodness and all the prosperity that I provide for it.’ Jeremiah 33:9b.

Dear God, may others be able to see Your goodness and prosperity upon us and be led to call You blessed. This is our prayer in the holy, blessed name of Jesus Christ. Amen!

We have come to the end of our conversation on Jeremiah 33:6-9. I have enjoyed this conversation! I hope you have. Yesterday the focus was on the Name of Jesus. It is our privilege to showcase God’s name in our lives, so that people everywhere will consider His name a joy; and be led to praise and honor Him!

Today, our desire is that through God’s goodness in our lives; through His prospering the work of our hands, people will revere and respect the Most High God! May they tremble in awe at His work of restoration!

Psalm 1 is a wonderful place to start as we consider this topic.

“Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season,
Whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper” (1-3).

For the person who spends both quality time and quantity, in the presence of God, meditating on His word, you will agree with me, that it is a most delightful experience. There is nothing that energizes the soul, calms the pain, or comforts the heart, like the Word of God. Just engaging in the activity is a blessing in, and of, itself. No wonder the result is lasting happiness!

When Jesus promised the woman at the well living water, He assured her that she would never thirst again, because it would be like waters springing up within. That living water is available to us today as well! This water within comes from a relationship between the wonderful Savior Jesus Christ and us! When this is our reality our soul will never experience a drought, because  Jesus, the Living Water, never fails!. The result is the fruit of the Spirit!

As long as we stay connected to the vine, our spiritual life will not wither, and we will “prosper in all things and be in health, just as [our] soul prospers” (3 John 2).

The question is:  Are you blessed? If not, why not? The blessing is ready! Walk into His will and be blessed!
