There Is An Empty Tomb! Part 2

Now on the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they (the women who had come with Him from Gallilee), and certain other women with them, came to the tomb bringing the spices which they had prepared. But they found the stone rolled away from the tomb. Then they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus. And it happened, as they were greatly perplexed about this, that behold, two men stood by them in shining garments. Then, as they were afraid and bowed their faces to the earth, they said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen! .  .” (Luke 24:1-6a).

My Lord and my God, my Creator and my Redeemer, holy, holy, holy, are You! Today I give You my praise, coming from a heart overflowing with gratitude, for an empty tomb, that gives me hope, that even if I should die, I will live again; because my Redeemer conquered death, and laid it to my account! Hallelujah, in the glorious name of Jesus the Christ! Amen!

Easter is a day of victory! On Easter morning, approximately two thousand years ago, faithful, courageous, women, not fearing the religious leaders, went to visit the tomb of their Lord. As they walked, their only concern was, “Who will roll back the stone?” They would soon find out, that the stone was already rolled away! After a great earthquake, caused by the  angel who replaced Lucifer, coming down from heaven, defying distance and speed, and everything in between, sat upon that stone (Matthew 28:2), to gaze upon the Prince of heaven, his Commander in Chief, the Captain of the Lord’s host, walk out of the grave in defiant victory!

The guards who were keeping watch over the tomb where Jesus was laid, “shook for fear of him, and became like dead men” (Matthew 28:4)!

As Jesus came forth from the grave that Sunday morning, let it be known, that it was Heaven’s way of telling the arch enemy of heaven and humanity, “You will no longer need these keys, because I have conquered both death and the grave!

Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O Death, where is your sting? O Hades, where is your victory (1 Corinthians 15:54c, 55)?”

To the women, the angel’s message was: “Do not be afraid, for I know that you seek Jesus who was crucified. He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. And go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead, and indeed He is going before you into Galilee; there you will see Him. Behold, I have told you” (5-7, emphasis supplied). “I waited here to give you this message” (the author’s interpretation).  A message of HOPE!

Today, and forevermore, the same message has been sent to every member of the human race: “Fear not for He is risen!” And because He lives, we shall live also!!! Hallelujah! Amen!

Have a Happy Easter! Keep the hope alive in your heart!
